When Castro grabbed power in Cuba in 1959 he promised free access of all Cubans to the countries beaches. Now, after 40 years of Castroism, the beaches are just for dollar-carrying tourist, the "yankee imperialists" among them.

Castro-loving American liberals and leftists have always criticized the American military interventions in Cuba. They don't criticize, however, the American economic intervention­­perhaps because the new interventionists are mostly liberals and leftists.
